Churchyard and Registers

The following list is a compilation of the transcriptions from burial register entries and information taken directly from headstones.

The information is sorted by surname / forename / date of burial and a Memorial Reference given to locate a graves location on the photograph.

It has been produced and checked on a best endeavour basis but should be considered for guidance only. Please check with the source documents if you are using the information for research.

Notes:

  1. If an entry is shown for the burial register but no grave is referenced it can be assumed that the grave has lost it’s marker. Many graves had only simple wooden or steel markers which have disappeared over time.
  2. If an entry is shown for a grave reference but no corresponding entry for the burial register then the burial for some reason wasn’t recorded.
  3. It is not uncommon to find a mix of different spellings of surnames in the register and discrepancies in spellings and forenames between register and headstone. In these cases, the data from the register has been used
  4. Detailed address and some note information in the registers has been omitted for clarity
  5. The following individual burial registers were transcribed to create this document

1813-1868, 1868-1901, 1901-1955, 1956-1993, 1993 – Present

We would welcome further information regarding any of the mentioned individuals or updates to errors to the data.
