Carbrooke Heritage Group was formed in 2012, following the Wayland Partnership initiative to produce a history book for each village in the Wayland area. A small group got together to produce the book for Carbrooke (available for purchase), the group then decided that a permanent group to further research and preserve Carbrooke Heritage would be a positive asset for the village.
The open and informal group generally meet monthly/bi monthly as necessary to discuss local and family history or to work on new projects, and is open to all. We get involved in local events such as the Village Fete or Bazaar, manning our information stall, and work to promote the profile of Carbrooke, and have organised several Heritage Festivals.
Please contact us for more details of the group, all welcome to attend our meetings or to be included in the mailing list.
