Carbrooke Parish Information Boards

One of the first projects Carbrooke Heritage Group envisioned was the creation of information boards, detailing the history of Carbrooke, to be placed around the parish, which could inform residents of the interesting and rich heritage we have in Carbrooke, and that is little known.

Working out how to produce a user friendly and cost effective board proved difficult, and so it was put on the back burner for several years. Then we had a new member join the group, his father, an artist, had designed a pictorial family tree for their family, the idea seemed suitable to be adapted as an information board for the village.

So Adrian Talbot set to work on the art work, he hand painted a beautiful design of the church and its interesting features. Imprint Signmakers of Wymondham printed it onto a special board, laminated and installed it. The Church board was unveiled Friday 30th June 2017, and it is situated by the church gate.

He then began to work on a design for a whole village interpretation board, as he doesn't live in Carbrooke it was up to the Heritage Group to decide what should be included, emails, images and ideas passed between Carbrooke and France, until the final design was completed, again it was sent to Imprint who mounted 3 boards, which were installed on August Bank Holiday Monday, 2018, one at the entrance to the Millenium Green, one by the Aerolite footpath on the Norwich Road, and one to be attached to the Community centre on Blenheim Grange when completed.
